Dr. Gordana Colovic
The College of Textile – Design, Technology and Management, Belgrade

Dr Gordana Colovic was born 1963. She graduated on Department of Textile and Mechanical Engineering, Technical Faculty, B.Sc Textile Technology, M.Sc. Technical Science and she holds a PhD in Industrial management.

She works in The College of Textile – Design, Technology and Management in Belgrade like a professor for Garment construction, Organization of manufacturing, Work study, Management of technology systems in garment industry, Marketing management for garment industry, Strategic management, Market research and consumer behaviour and Public relations. She is Head of the Department Management in the textile industry.

She was 7 years the Editor in Chief magazine Tekstilna industrija (Textile industry) and member a lot of associations, scientific committees, Editorial board member in 8 journals and reviewer in 13 journals.

She has paper works in around 120 publications and symposiums, 13 books about garment industry and 2 chapters.

Dr. Amit Rawal
Associate Professor, Department of Textile Technology, II, Delhi

Amit Rawal has obtained his Ph.D in Technical Textiles from The University of Bolton. He also received Masters of Philosophy in the field of Textile Technology from The University of Manchester. He has several years of Post-Doctoral research experience in various countries including South Africa (Council for Scientific & Industrial Research), Belgium (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) and UK (University of Bolton). Recently, he has been awarded Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship for experienced researchers for carrying out the research work in the area of nonwovens in Germany. In addition, he has received numerous awards including Young Researcher Fellowship from prestigious M.I.T, Cambridge for exemplary research in Computational Mechanics, Fellowship of the Textile Institute, CSIR special research award and Outstanding Young Faculty Fellowship by Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD). Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor at Department of Textile Technology, IIT Delhi. He has published several papers in the field of nonwoven and braided materials. He has developed various mathematical models for predicting geometrical and mechanical properties of various nonwoven and braided structures. His research interests include mechanics of nonwovens, braids and related structures, superhydrophobicity, geotextiles and fluid transport phenomenon in fibrous assemblies.

Prof. Dr. Dariush Semnani
Full Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, Isfahan University of Technology, Iran

Professor Dariush Semnani is the Full Professor of Textile Engineering. Dariush received his Ph. D. from Amirkabir University of Technology in 2005 with joint Ph. D. Supervision from Amirkabir University of Technology and Professor Behnam Pourdeyhimi from North Carolina State University. This was followed by a position as a research scientist at Gifu University in Japan. He jointed to Isfahan University of Technology from 2005 as assistant professor and then became full professor in textile department from 2015.Dariush has taught textile technology and engineering as well as soft computing, modeling, simulation, image analysis and artificial intelligence applications to textiles and fibrous materials problems both at undergraduate and graduate levels.

His research experience covers such areas as image and structural analysis of fibrous materials, textile applications in medicine, bioengineering and materials, instrumentation and test method development, among others. His contributions to fiber / textile science, engineering and technology and his contributions to the profession have been well recognized by several awards such as top selected researcher
of IUT and top selected researcher of Isfahan province. He has published four books and chapters, over 80 refereed journal articles and over 70 conference presentations. He also has designed and manufactured many instruments, machines, testing apparatus for industry. Dariush has written a lot of softwares by Matlab, LabView, Visual Studio ++ and LabWindows for scientific and research matters in modeling, simulation and evaluations of fibrous materials and textile engineering processes.

Dariush's research interests are in the area of fibrous biomaterials, medical prosthesis, smart and mainly elctrotextiles and electrochemical fibrous materials, modeling and simulation of textile processes and
parameters. Dariush has cooperated in leading researches for ministry of industry and mining, industries development organization, scientific deputy of president and also a lot of major companies.

Dr. Navneet Soin
Lecturer, School of Engineering, University of Bolton, United Kindom

Dr. Navneet Soin is currently a lecturer in the School of Engineering at the University of Bolton in United Kingdom. He obtained his PhD in 2012 from the University of Ulster, United Kingdom in the area of materials science, where the focus of his research was plasma growth of graphene films and their energy applications. This was followed by a research position at the University of Bolton where he led the development of piezoelectric 3-D energy harvesting textiles (Energy & Environ. Sci., 2014, 7(5), 1670-1679).

Till date, he has published over 40 research papers, three book chapters and holds two patents. His main areas of research include: plasma growth and modification of carbon thin films, plasma modification of polymers, clean energy materials (for batteries, fuel cells) and technical textiles. More recently, he has started work on triboelectric energy harvesting for enabling self-powered systems (ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, 2018, (accepted); Nano Energy, 2017, 40, 471-480; Nano Energy, 2016, 30, 470-480).
